Are trampolines with nets really that much safer?

  1. Well... they do keep people from falling off, but to use the word 'safer is a bit silly.  Backyard trampolines are one of the worst ideas ever.  Just because they sell them, does not make them safe to use.  If you don't' believe me then I dare you to tell your home owners insurance that you have one.  Children especially should not be using them, as their bodies are not developed enough to withstand the jarring.  I swear I am not some overprotective mother, just have worked in the health care industry long enough to know that if you mention the words 'backyard trampoline' to an emergency room doctor you might as well say tsunami!


  2. Not that much but they do protect you from jumping off.

  3. No! I got double bounced on one, I went up above the net and broke my leg! It hurt.....I was in a cast for like 2 months
