Are travel systems any good?

Hi,

I am 29 weeks pregnant and have bought a chicco travel system - the one with just a car seat attachment which later turns into a comfy pushchair.

Im just concerned about the car seat attachment - will it be ok for a newborn til the baby reaches the age for a pushchair. It reads that its suitable from birth, but would love your opinions on these.

I have the Graco travel system and I LOVE it. When my son was a little younger (he's 7 months now) he would ALWAYS fall asleep in the car. The travel system was great because when I went shopping, I didn't have to wake him up to take him out of the carseat to put him in a stroller. I've used it since he was a newborn. I think it's one of the best things out there because you don't need to wake up a sleeping baby. There's also two little red things on the Graco travel systems that you turn and they hold the carseat down even better. I'm not sure if the chicco travel system has that though.

travel systems are fantastic! me and my hubby love ours. going shopping and in the car makes life so much easier!! you dont have to unstrap and disturb baby if sleeping or just in general , definaltey a good buy

both of mine had car seat travel systems i stopped using car seat on buggy when the were about 5-6mths only caue they get heavy in them .. just used it for car think they were comftable they always slept in them xx

hi, i had a graco travel system for my son and it was brilliant. we used it from birth and it was fine, we had no problems.

i loved the fact that when he fell asleep in the car, we could just clip the car seat onto the pushchair without having to get him out or wake him up.

I loved my travel system, one of the best things that I bought. I don't know much about the one you have but I had the Graco and it made my life so much easier!

They always look a bit uncomfortable to me. I think its better for them to lay flat

I used a Graco travel system with my son.  They work great.  

The best part about it is that if the baby falls asleep you don't have to wake him up to move him.  If the car ride puts him to sleep, just unclip him and pop the seat into the stroller where he can continue to sleep peacefully while you shop or do whatever.

It is recommended that baby spends no more than 2 hours in the car seat so bear that in mind.
