What parts? I know Cuban citizens aren't allowed in certain tourist areas but I was wondering if it was the other way around too.

  1. Cuba does not restrict its citizens from going to tourist areas - they cannot go to the private resorts or beaches but this is the same everywhere.  You can't go onto a resort unless you are a paying customer.

The only area a tourist would not be able to go would be the American military zone in Guantanamo Bay.  You can travel around the country freely and Cubans are extremely friendly people.

  2. Guantánamo Bay for obvious reasons...but otherwise tourists can travel freely. There are though some archeological areas that are restricted but you will  need to arrange for these visits with Cuban specialists.

Naturally there will always be restricted areas wherever you travel...and in Cuba you will see signs marking restricted areas when travelling throughout.

But just remember too, tourists are restricted from also photographing military or police installations or personnel, harbor, rail or airport facilities.

By the way, Cubans are allowed to go to different areas...but it's just the resorts and hotels that they are not allowed to freely go to as many are concerned about solicitation and things like this. Otherwise, many Cubans go to hotels for vacation and if they have family that works there.

  3. Yes: you cannot go to Guantanamo Bay
