Are twins always really different from eachother like they are on tv?

its seems like all the tv shows with twins on them they are always complete opposites

No. "Identical" twins tend to be pretty much, well, identical.

well they are different people like my brother and I are chalk and cheese but i really do think the 'twin thing' exists eg. my close friends are twins and once one had a sore left eye and 30minutes later the other twin had a sore right one..?!

not necessarily, twins can be different, the same, and somewhere in between.....

i think the reason most twins on tv are so different is because they are pushed to it from being in the spotlight together it may feel to them that they are both known as 'the twin' and after a while they just want to be their own person known for them by theyr self

well, i know quite a lot of twins. and each and every one of them is not anything like the other. i'm sure they are similar to begin with, but eventually they must feel the need to have completely different personalities to eachother because that's basically the only thing they can be different in.

I knew twins who were completely opposite. One was very shy, short brown hair, glasses, conservative style. The other was outgoing, into practical jokes(kind of annoying), long blond hair, no glasses, and dragon clothing.
