  1. Nope.. twins are possible if they run on either side of the family!!!!!!!! Hope for the best.... GL.. i love twins... TTC 7 months. they dont run on either side of the family he he :)... so no luck :)

  2. Fraternal twins can only run on the mother's side of the family, because the mother must release two eggs and neither the father nor his family history can affect that.  That said, advanced maternal age can also increase the likelihood of having fraternal twins.

Identical twins could come from either side of the family.

  3. no, it will be totally random, and just as likely as anyone else

  4. No, twins are possible if they don't run on either side of the family.

  5. Twins are possible, but unlikely,  no matter what the family history.  A history of twins MAY slightly increase the odds.

  6. No, there are other ways to get twins which include some prescription drugs, accidental release of two eggs (which happens more often if you're over 35, BTW) and also identical twins, which are entirely random and don't run in the family at all.

  7. No there is always a chance you could conceive identical twins. I had twins without any drugs or treatments...and they don't run in our family either.
