Are two-way radios legal to use in France?

I'm going on holiday and need to know whether I can use two-way radios or not.

  1. Good question.  Each country has it's own laws.  Radios that are certified by the FCC and legal in the US may not be legal in other countries.  Even ham radios, which use the same frequencies in most countries may not be legal from one country to the next.  If you're asking about the little unlicensed radios, FRS band, that are used a lot here, the best thing is probably to check when you get to France and buy them there if they are legal.  

      

      


  2. PMR446 radios are allowed in France as they are most European countries.
