hi i there i m married with 2 preschool kids. Live in christchurch, NZ. Life is peaceful so easy to get around and can't imagine better society than this. but money is c**p. Can't afford to save any money . Don't want to compromise the future of kids due to my affordability.I know lot of kiwis crossing the tasman. bit worried if life will get too busy there with lot of travelling & stuff. which cities are better among brisbane and perth. have 10yrs of sales&mktg exp. with qualifications. not too worried about night life now. really wish to hear from some kiwis made the move from nz/chch. ta

  1. i was originally from south taranaki and moved to perth for a few months then onto sydney, the only reason i left perth is because of a man i wish i had stayed. Travel is a big thing but most suburbs have everything locally and you might not be doing much more driving. I loved perth, its a great city people arent too rushed and stuck up like the other major cities, education is pretty good there too and i dont think you'd be compromising your kids but giving them more options than NZ has to offer, Night life is good not too full on and has heaps of diversity. Brisbane is also a nice city its a little bit closer to home so you could go back for holidays more often, there are alot of tourists around though, plenty of kiwis up there. I've been in sydney now for 4 years and im happy here its most definitely home

  2. Perth may suit you better. But Perth is a long way away.  Yes to me it's much better here but if you are happy where you are then you may pine for home. Money is better here but it's really what you make of a place. when you have 2 youngsters it would be much easier to make friends. Of Course the weather is so much better here. You've got to put up with some big heat for a few months though.
