It all depends on how you define "smarter." I'm sure that there are 5th graders who have a higher IQ, or something to that effect. But I'd be willing to guess I'm more educated, more resourceful and crafty.

The Autumnal equinox is in September; according to my calendar, on the 22nd of September.

September 21-22, depending if it's a leap year.

You know the winter solstice is in december.  For the spring equinox count three months from december - march.  For the summer solstice, three more months - june.  Autumn equinox, three more months - september.  Then three more months gets us back to the december solstice.

That's how I remember them, winter is on december and count by threes for the rest.  The day is always 21-22.
