  1. They never say, "your loved one is dead; can we have his organs?" They always say, "He's brain dead; can we take him off the respirator and have his organs?"

This tells me that once you're dead, the organs are no good. This tells me that they can't/don't wait until you're dead to harvest the organs.

When I'm dead, take what you want, but don't kill me to get them.

  2. if im dead, how can i use them??

might as well give them to somebodys parent or child and save their life.

    i think its beautiful.

  3. im a PROUD organ donor.

im not gonna need my heart or lungs when i die..let someone else live out their life.

    save lives.

  4. proud organ donor. I wouldent need them after I died, it would be selfish to keep them when peopl elike my cousins with Cystic Fibrosis will die without a double lung transplant.

  5. It is the freedom of choice of each individual  ---it is good that some folks are for organ donation but others cannot do it because of health issues/being old /fear or religious reasons--so it is not a clear cut for or against and as an extra for you the word freedom is the right to disagree

  6. I would like to think that my parts will live on after me and help someone else to live. It that person has good pieces left over after they live a full life, I hope that they would pass theirs on too. There is no telling how many lives could be saved by just one person.

  7. If I have an untimely death and my organs are still usable, I am absolutely ok with them being harvested for donation to another.  I don't need them anymore.  Why would I want to deny another the chance to live or have a better life because of my organs?
