  1. I'm no musician but I would think a g or an e chord are the same whatever you play them on.


  2. the chords themselves will be the same... but i think you're referring to fingerings.

    the fingerings are completely different for uke. the strings are tuned g-C-E-A, so the chords will be fingered differently.  

  3. yes. although the chord will still be the same triad such as C which is C-E-G since the ukulele has a different tuning it will be held differently

    No, but the fingering is.  The same chord you would play on a guitar is the same for a ukulele.  Only the fingering will be different.  But, if you can play chords above the fifth fret of a guitar you can play a ukulele.

    You see, if you put a capo on the fifth fret of a guitar the first four strings are the same as a ukulele.  Only the G will be a low G not the G above middle C.
