Are ultrasound B-Scans ever used without moving the transducer creating a sector scan?

In physics I have to find a picture of many types of medical imaging things, including one of all the ultrasound techniques. I was wondering if B-scans were ever used, with just plotting a line of bright and dark spots, or if they don't bother and just create sector scans, the ones where people take images of livers and whatnot?

The transducer has got to move to create a sector scan or else nothing will happen
