I've heard varying things, but most seem to say DOUBLE protection is the way to go. Am I right? I think it's like 99% effective if you use BOTH..Is this true? I know it may be opinion/or approx. percentage but wondering people's thoughts on this. thx

  1. yes thats the best thing to do if you don't want to or shouldn't get pregnant

  2. its the best way but remember you can still get prego

  3. my husband and i were using both for a while.  now we are TTC, but that was the best thing that worked for us.  protect yourself in any way possible, and in as many ways as possible.

  4. Double protection is better than single, yes.  But note that its still possible to get pregnant.

  5. Yes, using just the birth control pill is quite affective and it is rare to get pregnant from that (if you are taking it correctly), it can still happen though.  But add a condom in there and your chances of getting pregnant are pretty close to zero, plus you get STD protection as well!  Good for you for being safe, a lot of people aren't these days!

  6. what about woman condoms? does that make triple the protection!!!

  7. Clearly abstinence is the best way to go, but you are correct even using both birth control and condoms is still only 99% effective. Remember that anything is possible and you can still get pregnant even when you think you are safe. But regardless of getting pregnant or not, you should always use protection to avoid any sexually transmitted diseases.

  8. that is the best way not to get pregnant other than abstinence
