I'm trying to eat better and I've heard that raw vegetables have more nutrients. I can't find any info to verify if this is true or not so any info is greatly appreciated.

  1. Yes. Raw is completely natural. Every other way is processed = man made. Processing (lightly steaming raw vegetables is okay) kills most, if not all enzymes life force, vitamins and minerals in the vegetable/fruit that is needed to for your body to function, not to mention help digest the food. Once you destroy these vital ingredients, your body has to come up with its own supply to digest and get the food through the body. Another thing heating your food does is significally change the molecule structure of the food. It was shown that once you heat the food, it had dramatically changed its molecule structure. The ions turned cancer causing, where as before they where incredibly benefiting.

There are so many people getting ill today and they don't know why. Too much acid forming cooked food that has depleted their enzymes, life force, and nutrients. The human digestive system runs on a strict Ph balance. Once you abuse that balance by eating too much unnatural acid forming foods, its down hill from then on, unless ofcourse you correct it.

  2. everything is better raw, because the nutrients and vitamins are intact. Unfortunately, we can't eat everything raw, so there go the rules:

you eat everything you can raw - for example, cabbages, carrots.

you eat everything you can't eat raw baked/grilled - like potatoes.

you eat everything you can't eat raw or baked boiled.

if you can not do all of the above, you do not eat that thing.

  3. I guess it depends. I read that some veggies have water-soluble vitamins. So when you boil them the vitamins go right into the water which you pour out. And heat might destroy some of the vitamins in veggies. :o I hope this helps. :p

  4. Yes!!

    Veggies are best when raw!

If they are canned, they have added salt.

    Which you don't want.

Some even are loaded in sugar.

Raw is the best way to go.

    Only for fruits and veggies.

  5. not for ur taste buds, but for ur body

  6. yes raw vegetables are good, they give you all your vitamins. When cooked you loose the antioxidants. They also digest faster

  7. Only if you wash the E. coli off of them first.

  8. it depends because some vegtables such as fresh potatoes and carrots should be cooked to get bacteria off them because potatoes have a thin skin and carrots dont have any...if you want to get MORE nutrients than raw vegtables try growing your own!!

                hope i helped -miranda

  9. I believe it depends on the vegetables. Some, like carrots, have their nutrients enhanced by light steaming.
