because i thought that vegetarians aren't allowed to eat animals and the eggs are technicallly a chicken that wasnt born yet... but i thought that it was just the egg yolk that was supposed to be the soon-to-be chicken and the egg whites are just "food" that was supposed to sustain the yolk while inside the egg shell... so technially you aren't eating the animal... just its food reserve... and chickens are vegetarians... so theres no harm in that right?

  1. No,if they are strictly vegetarians. Those ovo-lacto-vegetarians are sort of leaning both ways, like the bisexuals.

  2. ovo-lacto-vegetarians can eat eggs. i eat them, so its a-ok! :D (im an ovo-lacto-vegetarian)

  3. It's eating an animal by product. It's not really murder, but the egg is considered a zygote, an organism that basically is chicken menstrual period or unfertilized egg.

  4. yes you can if your ovo vegg then yeah besides you prob eat it even when you dont realize it. like cake and stuff

  5. im a vegeterian & i eat eggs. cuz technicaly, its not an animal cuz it wuz neva born.

  6. Egg whites are an animal product, depending on the degree of vegetarian you are, is what you decide to eat, a strict vegan does not eat anything with any animal product in it, many vegetarians have their own levels or degrees of what they will eat and won't eat.   Even a product like pasta has animal product in it, some will eat it, some won't.  Some people will call themselves a vegetarian, and don't have a clue what one is.  I'm not a strict vegan, but I'm getting closer, and closer.  Because I feel so much better than when I eat animal products.

  7. Vegetarians are allowed to have anything that an animal did NOT have to DIE for. So yea, egg whites, whole eggs, milk, ice cream, cheese, yogurt, all that stuff is considered vegetarian.

Gravy, chicken broth, top ramen seasonings, etc...are not.

It is Vegans that do not eat ANYTHING that COMES from an animal, whether or not the animal died in the process of obtaining the product.

  8. yeah there aloud.

  9. quit being a baby and eat the egg......

theres no holy book of vegetarianism out there lol.

sneak a hamburger once and a while

  10. A vegetarian can eat eggs. Unless you're pro-life. Then you don't believe in abortions.

  11. If you want an egg white, eat an egg white. Is this really something you worry about?

  12. No, vegetarians can only eat vegetables and animal byproducts, milk, butter etc.  eggs are considered a meat protein so unfortunately that is a no.  But if you were to be a vegan you couldn't even eat animal byproducts.

  13. Is there any rule?????????

Most people consider egg to be vegeterian food.

  14. Yep, but vegans can't.

Vegetarians don't eat meat. Vegans, on the other hand, avoid ALL animal products.

  15. I guess it depends if the vegetarian is pro-life or not...

  16. yes only vegans aren't

  17. yea because its not meat but of course vegans cant

  18. Yes!

    egg whites are tasty.

  19. Well since being a vegetarian or vegan is a personal choice.  I think each person can 'choose' what they want to eat.

Unless it's a diet under doctors orders, if you feel comfortable eating eggs but not anything else coming from an animal, then that's a personal choice.

  20. only ovo-vegetarians or ovo-lacto-vegetarians eat eggs or whites.

  21. Its up to you to decide !If you wish you can have eggs

  22. There are different kinds of vegetarians--

    ovo vegetarian eat eggs

    lacto vegetarians drink milk

there is no " allowed"  " not allowed" as far as I'm concerned, its a personal choice as to whether or not you think it's right to eat eggs.  I personally don't because I think the conditions they are gathered in are cruel... but its your life and your diet ..you choose!

  23. Vegetarians are not "not allowed" they just prefer not to. The vegans are the ones who are "not allowed" to

  24. Personally I think you are fine as long as no rooster has been around the female chicken. Because then the egg was not fertalized and there would have been no chance of a chicken being born of that egg.

  25. that is pretty much up to the pacific person

  26. vegetarians yes, vegans don't

  27. If you like egg whites, eat them.  They're yummy.

  28. The eggs humans eat aren't fertilized so both white and yolk are vegetarian.

Having looked at the other question you asked I can understand your confusion on this issue.

  29. Sure, eggs are considered milk products.
