  1. About 150 -175 mpg, economical to purchase, small physical (parking, garaging, etc.) footprint, & relatively quite. Easy to transport.

  2. well there alot better in a car, as they are smaller and take less fuel to run, but they are not good!

  3. Vespas are not the worst form of personal transport.

    but consider an electric scooter or bike, these use even less enery than cycling

    eg Vectra The Vectrix scooter was designed to outperform an equivalent 400cc petrol version in almost every way:

        *      25% lower cost of ownership over 4 years

        *      Cheaper to run – electricity is less than 10% the cost of petrol

        *      Zero emissions

        *      Very low noise

        *      Faster acceleration – Almost 30% faster to 30mph than a 400cc petrol scooter

        *      Easier to ride - Stop and go throttle, no gears to shift

        *      Better handling due to low centre of gravity

        *      Lower maintenance and less wear and tear due to less

                moving parts.

        *      More convenient – Charge at home or the office
