I am seriously considering on spending a solid 300-350 dollars on a viking cue that should hopefully last me for years to come in the future. before i do so though, I would like to kno peoples opinions that have played with viking before, my main question is are they a well balanced cue? I do NOT want a cue that is back weighted, id rather have a cue weighted more towards the center as i like to take long strokes when i shoot and use lots of finesse.Anyone have lots of experience with a viking i would appreciate the help. Thanks

  1. If you understand that name brand does not mean expensive or the best there just populer then yes they are a good name brand cue. The weight is adj. cut it down s***w it farther in ect. i have a couple but i bought them for the way they look i dont shoot with them but i have a longoni native series i bought for the same reason

I know a lot of people that shoot a real good game with them

I guess if it dont feel right it aint

my fav stick is a players 3 peice sneeky pete bout $85

its hard to find a CUSTOM cue off the shelf they all need a little something i paid half as mudh for the tip on mine as i paid for the cue but thats what it needed.

I would say go for it

  2. My second cue was a Viking and it worked well enough for me.  I didn't really notice it being especially butt-heavy.  My problem was with the joint and the tip.  Before I really knew what I wanted in a cue, I chose a crappy joint and a 12mm tip.  On top of that I went with a cue that was too heavy for me.  This is nothing against the cue.  Viking makes a fine product if you really know what you want in a cue.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

  3. I have a viking cue and it is the best cue I've ever owned. Balanced well and definitley not back weighted. Mine only cost 250, so if you are will to spend up to 350, you will no doubt be able to find a very nice one. I suggest 19 and 3 quarters weight. Good breaking and great english.
