Are wages more likely to be garnished after opening a checking account at a bank

just wondering if opening an account throws up a flag

  1. They are going to look for social security and income tax with-holdings from you paychecks.  Everything is tied to you social security number.  So, living on cash without a bank won't help.  They will simply garnish the funds before it made it to any bank or to you.  They will have you employer do it prior to paying you each pay period.


  2. If you have a judgement against you then possibly but a search would have to be made.
