Are waterproof watches good to be worn 24/7, even in showers?

i got a waterproof watch for my birthday and i was wondering if i should wear it in the shower, or if that will ruin it...

  1. There is no reason in the world to wear a watch in the shower.  "Waterproof" (actually, except for diving watches, really just water-resistant) is meant to survive accidental exposure to water, usually rain or splashes when washing your hands, or maybe a quick dip in a puddle or a sink).    


  2. Most likely it will be fine. I've had a couple 'waterproof' watches One, I went swimming with, and it was fine. One I took in the shower once and it died, and one I kept on the side of the pool durring swimming for a year, and it started slowly dying by the end of the year.

    So your watch /might/ be fine. But it would be better to keep it out of the pool and the shower, just to be safe, because you never know

  3. Waterproof watches are designed to withstand water "pressure."

    From the "outside in."

    Not the "temperature" from "inside out."

    Which may cause moisture inside the glass. <}:-})
