I'm curious but - when you ask a question bringing opinion into the matter, it seems to evoke MUCH more response - both con and pro - in answers.
That is, people chip in, defending or attacking the opinion.
Compared to fact based questions.
Which makes me wonder - that as humans, are we quite literally hardwired in our own minds to blindly defend opinion - when it isn't necessarily proven fact but just opinion?
Points to look at - religion, politics, ethics, trends, etc.
Many things said about all are opinion based yet invoke a much more passionate response...despite potentially totally lacking concrete fact.
