I got a little tired of Rock and Pop, so i decided to go out and exploring other categories. I noticed that most of them didn't make stupid comments, but very serious ones, and the few questions that i read, the answers didn't have any thumbs down or up. This is the only category on wich we talk c**p about everybody's answers and give thumbs down like crazy.

There was this girl who was asked for her favorite band and she said "Riahna counts as a band, and if she doesn't than it would be the Jonas Brothers", she was the first one to answere the Question and she didn't get any thumbs down from anybody.

ARE WE MONSTERS THAT DON'T CARE ABOUT PEOPLE'S OPINION?

  1. It's our duty to thumb up or down people's opinions. :)

The LGBT section is also forum-like.

  2. Yup.

Edit: We operate more like a forum, not an answers community. I think that is where you may find your problem.

  3. No.

  4. Diversity is the essence of life!

  5. It's not that people in R&P don't care about other people's opinions, but yeah, R&P is pretty much the most disrespectful sections I've seen.

  6. No, we're just opinionated people and we take our Y!A jobs seriously, lol.

  7. The reality is that people care a lot about their music and most of the people that ask questions here are not looking to expand their horizons by reading varying opinions and comments. The majority of people that post questions here are looking to find answers from people  that share their same opinions... When someone asks "Who here loves the Jonas Brothers" they want to hear back from people that adore them too... When somebody asks "Why does everyone love Pink Floyd?", they don't want objective reasons as to why they should reconsider Pink Floyd... they want a bunch of people to sound off and agree with them. Music means a lot to us and we like what we like... Thumbs downs are from people that don't share your opinions... It does not make anyone a monster it just means that some people can't deal with the fact that there are people out there that don't like a certain band or sound... I am 39 and don't want to talk about Mlley Cyrus... just like some teenage girl does not want to share opinions with me about Neil Young.

  8. YEAH you question SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  9. you've never been to religion and spirituality?

    that place is a zoo.

about 80% of questions are meant as a joke, asked to stir up trouble and anger other users (usually this battle is waged between atheists and christians), trolls are rampant, it's just general chaos.

can be rather entertaining, but wearying after a while.

you begin to lose your faith in mankind as an intelligent species.

so i'd say that you're not the only ones who are monsters who don't care about anyone else's opinion.

that statement basically sums up all the human population.
