they say that in the UK alone people are making 1 billion texts every week on their mobile phones. Could that be a contributory factor in global warming. Should we all pack away our phones if it is the case. to help our carbon footprint.

  1. When you produce a product, you have to make it. In order to make anything whether it is circuit boards, plastics, batteries all require using the manufacturer to use electricity for production. More production requires more electricity use which means more emissions that we are trying to avoid.

Look around you, everything comes from the earth and we generate emissions to produce it. Using the cellphones is another issue because we aren't supposed to put radiating devices next to our brains. I did some amazing imaging of the physiological changes with cell phone use.

In our greed and speed for technology, we need to remember bees, pollinators and the fact that everything that uses the earth's magnetic field for navigation is going to get lost because of of our electromagnetic bombardment.

The pollinators are responsible for feeding the world and the world will suffer for our ongoing environmental ignorance.

Every time you plug something in, a power plant is generating toxins or greenhouse gases. Hair dryers, clothes dryers, curling irons, toaster, etc. All of it produces toxins that we will end up consuming.

Go to http://www.thermoguy.com/globalwarming-h... and see what happens when you paint the exterior of your house. Simply painting your house can cause your building to generate extreme heat.

There is lots we can do and better do.

  2. no every country has a blame in global warming why because we all affect the atmosphere

  3. I think if everyone in the UK was completely environmentally friendly, it wouldn't make a difference as the rest of the world produces a h**l of a lot more pollution than we do

    :)

  4. We all consume things that aren't directly part of nature, so we emmit some more CO2 than we would if we lived in a rainforest and ate fruit off trees.   Texting uses so little energy it isn't worth quitting for the energy savings.   Try watching ten minutes less tv every day to save more energy.

  5. i think we will soon have to do it!

  6. conserve energy turning off lights a cell phone uses virtually no power and the network itself uses the same amount of power on standby as it does handling a million ip's a second.

as usual someone says its all b.s.  to bad all the environmental scientists in every country says its real the United Nations says its real even Bush with his big oil backing says its real.

yes were entering a warming period but its in runaway or happening at conservatively more than a 1000% faster than it should.

most of the hesitation by the USA on mandatory carbon reduction is because developing countries like china and India are exempt and are already becoming the leading polluters (check CNN its current news) it all comes down to money china and India won't because it will crush there growth the us says why should we save the world and destroy our economy with tight restrictions when these countries gain our market share by polluting.

  7. Yes,we do because we leave out carbon dioxide which is one of the green house gases. And yes mobile phones also spoil our envirnoment as they omit some rays that activates some harmful gases i.e they react with some gases and make them much more harmful.

  8. Yes- everybody is responsible in taking care of the earth, packing away cell phones not going to happen, as along as everybody is aware of the problem, it should be no problem of taking care of our planet, for instance taking care of the trash, recyclable bins, maybe plant tree somewhere out in the yard or in a field somwhere, planting trees produces more oxygen in the air makes the plantet friendly for everybody, some of ways we all can be responsible for the environment

  9. No one country is to blame.

Only one country can't make a difference. The whole world needs to come together to effectively solve this problem.

Of course, that's no reason for anyone to not try being environment-frindly.

i think people should concentrate on things like vehicles and industries which cause more pollution.

Small things, like walking small distances, using the steps instead of the lift, would probably help more than not using your phone.

  10. no, shouldn't pack away our phones for this case or any other case. believe it or  not no matter what try to do stop it good or worse its always going to be there because of the greenhouse effect. all of us have to accept it and take it as a challenge to outlive what the scientists say we would live if we keep doing the things we do that cause global warming. so march forward and continue to do what u do, cuz its always going to be the fault of greenhouse effect that causes global warming.
