we are animals. from the news i guess lower. humans are the only species of animal that kills more than what it needs. just look at the waste (garbage) that we produce :)

In my opinion, we are lower than other animals.  We have decision-making abilities, yet we make poor decisions.  We are taught right from wrong, yet we do wrong.  We put chemicals in our bodies, have unnecessary surgeries, and become easily addicted to all sorts of things.  We have laws, and we break them.  We have minds--and don't use them.

I believe humans are lower than animals...Just because we are smart does not give us a right to take over the earth. We destroy forests every day..polute the air and always take but never give back except for the few exceptional people who love nature and her life.

I'm a big nature freak so..

We kill each other for pleasure and do it in the most disgusting ways..We take animals to test on to make sure things are 'safe' for us which is pretty stupid since the animals they test on are not like us and dont have the same genes as we do...We also torture animals for our own pleasure and its absolutley bull=****!

We are destroying our earth and our home...Humans are way over populated and yet when another specied gets over populated we try to 'control' it...What about the human species? Just because we can communicate to each other and can build technical things does not mean we have the right to play God or Mother Nature...

And when you put two cats in a room...no they wont always kill each other..and if they do fight it is NOT for pleasure it is territorial and defense...

You wonder why animals fight all the time for territory...well its because us 'humans' have taken all of their homes and land away and made it very dangerous for them..

In every culture in history...people worshiped Nature...All the gods were named from nature and controlled some kind of element..When they killed an animal they used every part of its body to respect it...Its insides..Its fur...Its claws...everything...Now on the news you hear about people killing silverback gorillas just for pleasure and thats it...Or you hear about people killing elephants for their ivory and thats it...they dont use anything else...Or when someone kills and animal for its fur...thats all they use and they let the rest of the body rot....

Anyways Im gonna stop or I will write a whole book on here...

I'd say we are lower than animals. Animals kill out of nature, to survive, eat and such. Humans kill because they want to. Humans are far more predatory than all of the animals species.

You don't hear about a Gazelle raping another Gazelle. Or you don't hear about a new born Panda killing a Cobra.

Thats a matter of opinion. People have different values and morales. Some value surviving , Some value other things over being alive. Some values conflict, It creates problems. You think your low for being an animal? You showed me your low for having a low self esteem already. So you maybe low. Some others may not be. Some may still be. It all depends on your morals. Killing is being low depends on the persepective and intention of killing. If you kill for sport and you don't agree. Then to you it may be low. A warrior may not agree killing is low. Killing a someone to protect some one else from another person.Some people may not think thats low. Killing to kill someone because they did something to you like kill your friend or mom. Some may not think thats low.  Some might kill to survive. Some people don't care enough about surviving. Sometimes you may not need to kill, sometimes you may have to. Killing a serial killer, rapists or drug dealer. Some may agree or not agree. You cannot catagorize all of us low for people kill. People kill for different reasons under different situations. Itis a matter of opnion as well.

Man is an animal and as such has animalistic urges in response to territory, resources, mates, etc.  It is not for s to marvel at our acting like animals but to sit in awe when we are able to overcome these urges and do something out of character.

More than likely humans have taken a huge leap away from the animal kingdom by the attainment of consciousness.

I could understand your anguish. The animal instincts in man in killing innocent humans and destroying great temples and monuments is intolerable even to the God or Devatas as I came to know. We should dedicate our resources and energy in helping the needy rather than killing innocents. As an advanced yogi, I could spot out those souls who did crimes at Prayag -Raj (Allahabad) in India suffering since long. Incredibly, the soul of King Gazni, who plundered Somnath Temple (situated in Gujarat, India) several times and ruined it visited me and appealed whether I could help in getting salvation. I have realized the celestial Devatas denied his right to access to heaven.
