Over shadowed by the government, the crime, the corruptness of Africa on a whole that we forget how beautiful the Continent is? That we forget why we are here in the first place?

  1. Yes unfortunately, we have a beautiful land, with awesome scenic places, enjoying a braai with friends, wildlife and sunny weather, but if you have to fight for survival it does not matter

  2. Cheri said it all!

  3. As that also applies to the rest of the world the answer is yes,,,

  4. Why hasn't Africa realised, that when all the wildlife is gone, what will you have left? A whole continent fighting petty wars?

    Wise up people,and quickly!

    (A view from Wales).

  5. Get out from tribalism and start thinking for yourself.

  6. Yep I agree. But the negatives always overshadow everything!!!!

  7. It is so true Skyli, I just love this country with all it problems, it is the most beautiful country in the world, I love its sea, its diversity, ag, I love everything about this country despite the corruption and crime.........I mean I am sitting in my office at home, alone, (kids and husband went to the heated pool at the gym to train and to teach the 4 years old to swim), with my panic button around my neck, always alert and listening....It is now part of my life. But infront of my office window is a whole bush of Red hot Fire poker (Vuurpyle) and there is about 8 Sugar bird (Suiker bekkies) drinking the nectar of the flowers.....it is so beautiful. Tomorrow we are going to Addo National Park for a day and a night, although I have been there countless times I still can't wait to see the lions, elephants, warthogs, dung beetles, eland, buffalo etc. No I love South Africa that is forsure.........

  8. We are yes but sometimes it takes one a while to realise this and you don't always appreciate what you have or how lucky you are until you loose it.

We are also over shadowed by wanting what we can't have in this country so we look else where for it. I have come to realise that what I have is far more important than the longing for something that was never mine in the first place.

  9. One rotten apple in the barrel always spoils the rest. You need to get rid of the rotten apple and fast!!

  10. Yes, it's a shame Mugabe etc spoil it for the rest...I've been to four African countries and found the locals friendly and welcoming. The countryside and the animals are awesome. You have a great continent there..look after it.

  11. Until you white people come out of denial and realise that you are now just secondclass citizens in Africa and here only at the whim and pleasure of your new masters, you wont have any fun with your new liberated freedom.

The crime is just our comrade taking back from you everything that you and your forefathers, have stole from us  for hundreds of years as you raped our land of it's resources becoming wealthy beyond imagination while the African begged for bread for his children, in his own country.

The violence is for the murder and oppression and rape and baby killing and slavery, that the Christian countries and their settler offsprings, have delivered upon the Africans as they were dragged off treated like animals and put in cages and shipped off to work as cheap labour on some English Lords tobacco plantation.

So please tell me have any of you white Africans ever had to suffer the indignity of having some white madam chase you away from her rubbish bins because you haven't eaten for four days and you are looking for food.

Have you ever had to suffer the embarrasment of some white Boss refusing to listen to you when you politely ask him if he has any work, you get abused sometimes and accused of wanting to see what you can steal.

Have you ever gone to a government building or bank and been told by the official to " Stand there and don't move." and you stand there and you don't move for however long it takes because you are frightened that you might be breaking the law if you go to the toilet.

Have you ever suffered the shame of having someone address you in a language that you do not understand and making you feel stupid and inferior because you don't. Have you ever had the plice kick your door down at 4AM in the morning and beat the living carp out of you and your family in front of you and you can do nothing to help?

If you can say yes to all of these things then you are part way to becoming African the rest is to do with pride and politics and becoming more African.
