  1. In the absence of challenge and sacrifice, all peoples descend morally!

  2. no

  3. You're confusing strength with dominance.  In the western world, "wives and girlfriends" have always dominated.  That was ok when men were strong, but I think you're right, American's have gotten too squishy.

Think for yourself, take risks, worry about something other than yourself, have the courage to fight for what you believe is right, know when not to fight.

Just a short time ago, men fought and won battles and won wars, traveled to and explored the moon.  Now we have "military operations" where we drive around foreign cities and occasionally avoid land mines.  And we travel to space, fearing to go more than a few hundred miles from the earth's surface in a "space shuttle."  You can't explore the unknown in a shuttle bus...

  4. Since less than 15% of American males between the ages of 18 and 26 can't even pass the physical exam to enter the armed forces I would have to say we are getting soft.

Yesterday they had an audition call for contestants for a show called "The Biggest Loser" here in the Las Vegas area. I saw some video footage of the attendees on local TV news and was surprised that the pavement beneath their morbidly obese bodies held up under all that collective weight.

  5. Too soft and too stupid. . .

I don't think we are getting there, I think we have always been there.

The government give us people so many creature comforts that we just say. . .yea, go ahead and do whatever you want. . .

  6. we are like spoiled children. We have what we need. We someone with something better and we WANT it. Forget about the need. We grow larger with food. We take meds to take care of our depression and we don't have to deal with the issues. Isn't it wonderful?

So why are we so sad anyway. We have all this stuff.Does it mean stuff does not make us happy?

And men as a whole want a trophy wife. The cute little thing who acts totally adorable. It's easier to point out her big b***s than it is to point out her brain, I guess. But my experience has been the easier the better with guys. It's way too embarrassing to have a woman who does not stay quiet and is packing some extra weight.

  7. If you look at tv, most males are portrayed as fat and lazy (homer, or one of those goofs from prime time), or evil and calculating (CSI), or effeminate and fabulous.  I've noticed that the only way a male can be a hero in the movies is if he has a dominant female helping him (eg bourne trilogy comes to mind).  Since most of us watch a lot ot tv or movies, the young males are being told quite a different story compared to how they're fathers and grandfathers grew up.

From the female aspect, the women appear more in control of the family (eg everybody loves raymond), or if they are a heroine in a movie, it is very rare for them to fight a evil chick, its usually a male.  It seems to be quite the reverse social engineering program.  The majority of the kids TV shows show more dominant, succesful females (Hannan, Zoey 101, Lizzy macguire).  Most of the boys are goofy and subordinate in those tv shows.

But then it wouldn't be much for young males to turn off ;their toys, stop acting like little b*tches with their hair and fashion, and reclaim what is their rightful place, but that means they'd have to grow up first.

  8. I don't thing that soft describes Americans. Disconnected and selfish is more like it.

  9. Of course, we think too much with our hearts and too little with our brains.

    Let's look at some proof:

    Iraq war casualties:

    ~ 3,500 ( I'm sick of everyone complaining )

    Vietnam casualties:

~100,000 in a single month (During the Tet offensive, I think)

    WWII:

    ~ 416,800

George Washington must be ashamed of us for our lack of valor and sense of honor in battle.

It is a soldier's job to fight to the death in battle, not to run away.

  10. It is a Universal Phenomena.

  11. like girls

  12. I'm the last American Caveman I still call my woman with the unicorn and beat her up with my club before make love!!!

  13. Uh, no.
