Are we being invaded by strange insects?

Question

My friends and I were sitting outside a few hours ago and we noticed a lot of odd looking insects on the exterior of the house. Some of them resembled roaches (they didn't budge when we fanned them away from the wall) and the others looked like a cross between a spider and a 1 inch centipede. We're in NY right now. There are no bugs inside the house, just on the wall outside. Are we being invaded by weird insects? Can someone please explain what these critters are. My friend (the homeowner) is freaking out and so are we.

im living in NY as well and i notice a whole bunch of bugs outside my house, the things that resemebled roaches are probably just beatles(not the british pop band)...ive been noticing a lot of those critters around... and as for the spider/centipede im not really sure what that is, maybe its a millipede?

go to google and type up different odd insects. you should find a website telling you about them.

I've been seeing really strange insects too. There was this ladybug looking thing but its back had white moss looking thing on the back of it. Another bug looked like a tiny bug with a seashell on its back O.o

Its not the bugs you should be worried about, ITS THE PLANTS! their going to release a toxin that makes us kill ourselfs!!!! RUN AWAY FROM THE WIND!
