  1. We will always get ripped off by bread and milk prices, its the way of the world my friedn...what they cant make money on one end they have to swipe from another....LOL

  2. I agree with Karen G.  especially about Tesco bread.  I remember when you could get Sunbeam and Wonder bread for 79 cents a loaf for the Giant kind.  Does not need to be any higher than that.  Not like it has gold in it.

  3. £1.30 for a loaf of nice bread. Total rip off, which is why i have resorted to buying tesco own brand bread which is rank, but you got to do what you got to do!!!

  4. yer u effo r -x

  5. who cares

  6. I think we are being ripped off!

I can't even afford a nice crusty loaf to serve with dinner.  At my grocery store here in the north east USA it's almost $5 for a crusty homeade style garlic loaf, used to be $3.

    Really makes me angry.

  7. Off course we are getting ripped off, that is how supermarkets make their profits, I buy my flour from the local flour mill and make it.

ps do you ever see a large supermarket closing down.

  8. Yea its a total rip off,one day it was 95p the next it was 135p disgusting,it wouldnt matter so much if it was just a couple of pence but 40p in 24 hours

  9. No. I live in the Philippines and the news here is flour is getting more expensive. to avoid the higher bread prices which most Filipinos could not afford, they are changing their recipes and are trying to lower the content of flour and using flour substitutes. They said the taste of bread would be different in the near future, but whatever as long as the price won't go up. a lot of people are starving here.

  10. no, the price of wheat may have gone down but the price of everything has gone up since the last year. Make your own bread if you think that you are being ripped off if you want.

  11. Were getting ripped of on a lot of grocery prices.=)

  12. I'm happy with the local bakery prices (In Australia that is...)... They sell their bread for half the amount that a supermarket does.
