America could not afford open warfare with Russia, not even if we weren't stretched thin at were at full strength, tactically, we probably would have a fair chance at victory, but at great human, material, and diplomatic costs, additionally, it would only  provoke the already aggressive Russian government

This war was like Iraq, the leadership had wanted it for a while, they just needed a reason, and when one arose... WHAM

We have a friend that is getting there *** kicked by our long love enemy ! If we do not help them well what could we say ?

As for the size and shape that we are in just keep in mind that our civilian population has more weapons then most nations !

I think we may need to go to war with Russia.  It's been on hold for many, many years.  I believe we can win and it wont escalate to nuclear proportions.  Both sides know, that would be the end of life on this planet as we know it.  Russia wants to rule and right now, we are the most powerful nation on the planet.  It may be time.

No, I suppose US agreed that Georgia will broke the peace agreement and start genocide in S.Ossetia.

Some of "African-Americans" were laying on the streets of the ruined capital of S.Ossetia, so I suppose US knew about georgian invasion..

I suppose the plan "A" was to occupy the town and use the remaining  civilians as the shield to prevent peacekeeping and local forces to retake the town.

Then Georgia and US will cry about peace and that the fire must be stoopped. Of course Georgia already won't leave as they call "their land".

But God bless the defenders of the town, that could resist until help arrived. The Georgian used heavy artillery and rocket fire to start the attack then were a lot of georgian tanks and armored vehicles with american instructors chasing childs and civilians on the streets of the town. The wintesses and refugees talk about terrible things happened there. Russia is going to document all evidence of the genocide. I hope the US will be blamed for its part of what happened there.
