Are we celebrating Patricks Day on the 15th this year in Ireland, Is the Parade Saturday?

So as we're celebrating it on the 15th what time is the parade?

  1. well thats news to me, i thought it was always the 17 th..


  2. I think the parades are going ahead on the monday 17th but Mass is on Saturday 15th as this would clash with Easter masses on the monday which is start of Easter week.

  3. As an Englishman i will of course be celebrating St. Georges Day.

    I will hold a parade around the green in Chalfont St. Giles in full defiance of the PC squad.

    There will also be stands selling real ale and toad in the hole.

    Event: St. Patrick's Festival Parade

    Location: City Centre Parade Route

    Time: Starting at Parnell Square North at 12 noon

  5. It is not on the Saturday and I dont know why people would think it is. Parade is Monday 17th at noon

    Manchester's parade will have to wait till all the roadworks and diversions in the city centre have finished

    *edit* lol Oban, I do like the parade from the Irish Heritage centre into Town do you? I always drink Guiness, even though I never ever drink it all year round. I even MAKE the other half have it! lol

    People who keep putting its on 17th read above article - the date has been changed this year as religious dates clash, this has not happened since 1940.

  12. They are on Monday, Saturday is for the religious part of the celebration due to it been holy week and can't have a second important religious even on the same week as holy week.

  14. No, St Patrick's Day is 17th this year.  It is a Bank Holiday in Ireland.
