  1. That book says that we are from different planets...

It said that women are from Venus and...

since it's a man's world, so I suppose someone invited them over and they are still here or something.....

Some people don't know when the party is over....

    g-day!

  2. If we were descended from aliens, our DNA would not be a 98% match with chimps & bonobos.  The Neandertal appears to be more than a 99% match to modern Homo sapiens.  The target date for a complete sequecing of the Neandertal genome is less than 2 years from now.

We are descended from one of the many lines of hominids that appeared more than 6 million years ago (these were bipedal apes.)

I wish the media would not portray evolution as a straight line of evolution, when the majority of the apes & hominids that were around some 6 million years ago simply became extinct dead ends. Some of both these apes & hominids did evolve & believe it or not, the chimp has evolved further from our common ancestor than the human has. They just evolved with different abilities to adapt to their environment.

The missing link exists only in the mind of the media & some creationists... however anthropoligists will always disagree on some parts of evolution... google "regional & out of Africa hypohesis."  Because the chimp did not evolve outside Africa & Sapiens are so close in DNA make up of the Chimp, it is obvious that the 1st hominids came from Africa, but many see Homo Erectus as evolving outside Africa to produce not only Neandertal, but modern Homo sapiens there. Others believe modern Homo sapiens evolved in Africa, then migrated out to replace both Homo erectus & Homo Neandertal in Europe & Asia.

More than 99.9% of all species that were ever on Earth are now extinct. We did sorta luck out & win the lottery.

I've been asking that same question for years now and No-one has ever been able to give me an answer!

I'm so glad I'm not the only person who thinks that, phew!!

  4. apes i think its been proven by anthropologists pretty well now, though some people still wont accept it, i certainly wasnt made from adams rib,

  5. have you considered biblical creation? read the first book of Genesis.

  6. how about aliens who were apes

    - i think i prefer aliens

  7. Isn't there another option? Like or are we and have we always been human? Coz I'll go with that.

  8. its the one that should hold the to sides to gether, personaly we are looking for something that has already found us.

  9. We are neither descendants from apes or aliens. Sorry I don't buy into pseudo-science or Scientology.

  10. Here it is.

    http://www.geocities.com/garyweb65/creat...

It's actually a link to a Sumerian creation myth. I think the gods were an advanced subspecies of human, which would explain the F1 hybrids infertility...

  11. We're from Mars

  12. i know i came from ape man, but you might have different DNA! lol

  13. We are descended from alien apes who were 1 million years more advanced than us.

Life on earth was an animal experiment that didn't work out and we were left to either survive or perish, as it were.

Some of us made it and some didn't; the ones who didn't became Republicans and their in-lock-step voting block, fundies!

Nawh! I'm jest a funnin wif Ya. Heck, I wuz one o them fundies when I wuz a kid. The I went n got some learnin. d**n!

On a more serious note: The "missing link" fantasy was a construct of those who knew almost nothing regarding Anthropology; I suspect they were, what's the word, I knew it just moments ago, sounds like fun-day or Sunday, Oh I have it...fundie!

There is not now and never was, a "missing link"! That was just more bad science.

  14. Homo Sapiens shares 98.6% of his DNA with other great apes (specifically Chimpanzees) and is of the same taxonomic order as the Gorilla, Orang Utan, Chimp, Bonobo and funnily enough the Lemur.

We are Primates of the Mammalian order and share common features with other mammals such as Dogs, Cats, Lions and Whales.

In fact we share over 50% of our DNA with the humble Earthworm.

The missing link is the supposed ancestor who takes us directly from our primate cousins to Australaphicus (Lucy) however it is possible that humans evolved from a common ancestor much further down the evolutionary tree.

Evolution is not necessarily a direct chain as mutations and chance can play (and do) a very large role in the changes from one generation to the next.  What you have to remember is evolution is a slow process in mamallian species (especially the great apes) and takes many thousands of years.  However we are all one evolutionary step along from our parents being that we are 50% DNA from our father and 50% DNA from our mother.

  15. The missing link is the creature that has both the skeletal characteristics of apes and the skeletal characteristics of early man. No such skeleton has ever been discovered, giving rise to speculation that man landed on this planet from a more developed alien race.

  16. i think both if you look in genisis it says the sons of god married the daughters of men. so i think the men from a more advanced race bred with cave women

  17. Anyone that thinks man is not descended from the Bonobos ape hasn't been around one or the other long enough  to observe.

  18. Archaea and extremophiles were both considered impossible in the beginning of bioscience. That's pretty alien.

  19. i don't believe in human evolution...that theory is the theory of someone can't accept god.

alien race is for someone who like to wrote science fiction novel a lot (L.Hubbard)

i don't think we descendants from those two..i think we should care who we are right now

  20. I find it an insult to think my ancestors swung from trees. Have you looked at the ones who swing from trees now? Do you act like that? We are way above that. Why are there still tree swingers if we came from apes?

  21. we are not descendants of apes or from Mars but we came from  a common ancestor of the ape what ever people think its been proved that we evolved and those people who think god created everything just ask yourself what is god and who created him
