  1. Due to a multitude reasons....yes, we're experiencing energy-crisis here. Rapid population growth, exponential demad of energy...so far we've generated most of the energy by burning coal...but they would be depleting on day (soon). That's why there's such a great call for scientists and environmentalists worldwide to come up with renewable sources of energy. There're are actually a couple of good ideas now, such as wind, tidal, ethanol from sugarcane for petrol etc etc...but they have to be made available at much much cheaper costs for everyone to use. Now they just cost a bomb for even the smallest amount to generate an insignificant amount of energy.

  2. We have plenty of natural resources. The weak dollar and speculators are the primary reason for the increase in fuel prices. Last quarter demand was down and inventories increased. We will have alternative energy in place long before we run out of petroleum.

  3. no not an energy crisis......an overpopulation crisis....

  4. get sum cows .and save the poo dig a pit up  with a lid to stop the gas  form getting out. cooking and light sorted

  5. If you have been to the gas pump lately you know the price has tripled in a few years. That means we have a shortage!

  6. Let me check.....No my lights turned on. My computer is running. I have gas in my car and van. Seems ok to me at the moment but then again I do not live in Cali where they have to buy their energy from AZ or NV so I am lucky.

Hey Daveisp. is that a little girl you are holding? I guess you are contributing to the 'over population'. Who or what gives you the right to say people can not have children. that goes against everything in nature about multiplying to progress the species or are you just a typical human hater? they meaning lefties and enviroweenies have been complaining to much about over populated but neve commit mass suicides so I guess they mean people other than them. What hypocrites.

  7. Don't know about you, but I am. Must be an age thing + jet lag. Switch off sometimes and stay cool. We don't think enough about the ways we waste energy. I can walk to the market. Can you? No heating in my bedroom. Wash most of my clothes at under 40° C and use my dishwasher every 4 days.

What was wrong with putting on an extra sweater when it got cold in winter?.

  8. not exactly energy crisis, but we are entering an era of a major shift in energy sources, where petroleum and coal are now the dominant sources of energy, but with the increase in global demand, that causes price increase, and the environmentalists who tell us we must stop using fossil fuels, we will have new sources of energy at our disposal, that will slowly replace fossil fuels.
