  1. be careful Nickel Johann, you're using logic to attack their religion, that is dangerous stuff.

for the record, mean temps around the globe have cooled since 98, so if it keeps getting warmer at this rate we'll be in an ice age in a couple hundred years.

temps go up and down all the time, this is called normal.

Yes we will see more catastrophes like it, definitely.

They have been happening forever and will continue to do so.

The only thing i'm more sure of than another disaster is that the fraud we call "the global warming crowd" will do all they can to exploit it for their gain.

They make no effort to help those affected, they just wring their hands and pontificate for their own political and economic benefit.

every sane person wants to live in a clean area and research alternative fuels for a cleaner environment.

Only environmental extremists, also called wackos, enjoy exploiting every bit of human suffering to advance their agenda.

    Honestly they disgust me.

  2. if sea levels continue rising and the temperature of the water continues to go up there will be an increase in the frequency and intensity of the storms

    on average

does not nessecarily meant that evey year will get worse, some years will have fewer than average, but overall its likely to get worse as time goes on

  3. Only if you continue to live on earth, these things happen, have happened in the past, will happen in the future.

  4. I would be careful about linking too early any major extreme weather event to global warming.

Weather and climate are not the same.

  5. If the global warming trend keeps continuing at the pace that we see now, we can definitely expect to see more cyclones like the one in Myanmar, hurricanes like Katrina in gulf coast, and also more drought in places like Sudan.

We can reduce the global warming if we start taking steps right now.

  6. Yes, of course we will see more disasters like this one.

    Answerers:

There was no mention of causality in the question.

You are stretching. Leave that to R&S.

The term Global Warming is misleading. Yes, the Earth is experiencing a warming trend.

Perhaps the use of the phrase Climate Change would be better suited to not offend the lame of mind on this site.

    The climate is indeed changing.

Human influence on the planet is exacerbating the effects of natural cycles.

It's not a case of THIS or THAT, but how much of each is TRUE.

  7. Yes.

They've been happening since the planet originally formed and will continue till it ends.

The biggest will be when the planet gets burn to vapor. That'll happen in a couple billion years.  Stick around.

  8. Yes.  Just in my life time I have seen many.  Reading and surfing the web it is easy to see this has been going on for a long time.  I just finished a book called, "Isaac's Storm" about a hurricane circa 1900 that killed several thousand in Texas.

If anything, we are safer today because we can see these things coming with weather sattelites.  Seems we still need to be able to warn people quicker.  In other words, we have the technology to see something like the Myanmar cyclone coming but need better ways to get warnings to the people in peril.

Hurricane Katrina was terrible but without the warnings the death toll would have been 10x higher.  The evacuations for Mt St Helens probably saved countless lives.

The United Nations should be screaming for such warning systems.  What is wrong with our world leaders?  IDK

  9. I should imagine this is only the very beginning

  10. Uhhh yes. Global warming has nothing to do with cyclones. It is a natural phenomina that has occured from the begening of time.

  11. ABSOLUTELY, UNTIL WE THE PEOPLE ON EARTH DELETE  GLOBAL WARMING. MAYBE EVEN WORST, LIKE A TITLE WAVE. WHO KNOWS AS LONG AS YOU JUST TALK ABOUT IT. WHO KNOWS, WE ON A SMALL MOUNTAIN MIGHT JUST HAVE TO GO DOWN THE STREET TO THE OCEAN, THATS ABOUT 2 HOURS AWAY NOW==WHO KNOWS.

  12. it wouldn'

t surprise me if the haarp had a hand in this. If 100 000, are gone, there'll be more left for the fittest and luckiest, right?
