  1. h**l yeah to the hey to the aww to the mahh law tahhhh

YES YES YES......... I love my ipod.......and my phone..I love my children having a phone...no matter where they are,,I can call them, and that's something my mother didn't have the pleasure of having..

what makes me not happy is the disconnect with my people..and music and my phone only helps me connect more... but I am not a slave to my phone..if I don't wanna talk,,I am not gonna answer it.

Ah yes the simple days when all you had to get by was a pot, a fire, some river water, a pair of moccasins, and a mushroom house...yep I remember those days..it had it's moments

  2. yes we are happier now we can easily lie, you are in the toilet, you can say, just coming boss, i am on the way.

  3. we are more isolated in our own little bubbles now with less human interaction. so i would say no, because human interaction is good and ipods etc take it away.

  4. We are not happier, we are only less inconvenienced. Material goods don't bring happiness.

  5. No dear,  think we are more miserable.Because the costs of maintaining them are eating us inside out.

    Thanks for asking

  6. I can't say for all but, I'm happier. At least I've seen that education and financial risks have been rewarded. The spirit of invention is alive.

Afterall, you can only buy them if you have the money. The good thing is more people are having it. Sad thing though, many countries are plunging into poverty, some of their own making.

  7. no because people who would not call your house phone at 2am seem to have no hesitation to call you on your mobile at 2am! yet technology and the need for constant communication has become such an addiction that instead of turning off our mobiles before we go to sleep we turn it on as there is that fear of 'missing out' on something important.

  8. no. the myth technology = happiness is... a myth.

the wealthy of every era had extravagant luxury. for western world medieval ages the least good. i think the happiness of eras has not to do with the technology, because otherwise the happiness would have steadily increased, and except for maybe the middle ages, i don't think it did.

the thing is once we learn about it, we want it, then we get the satisfaction, a little happiness when we get it, until we start jonesing for the next best thing.

so really the trouble is the commercials and society showing these things to us and making us want them. since if we never knew about them we would never miss them.

anything we would miss before somebody told us it existed or showed it to us, would be something we are about to invent. or something necessary for survival, like food.

  9. no, people with ipods usually want to be by themselves. having mobile phones, mp3/mp4s just gives them the opportunity to look normal, and blend in with the crowd.

  10. On the top layer, we are content- for the moment

  11. Not really, we never knew the diffrence before we had them

  12. No.  For everything that is gained there is a costly sacrifice made.

  13. well i 'currently' dont have either of them 2 and i am furious, thank god for the computer

  14. well is any1 sad that we do?

  15. We are more shut off from one another. We are also more competetive in places we once were just free. Though i like my phone and things, you asked!

  16. I believe most are eased by convenience in respect to being plugged in 24-7. With your mobile phone anyone can call you, GPS you, or email/text you. You have a device plugged into your head all day, whether its an IPOD (for tunes) or a Cell Phone (to converse or text or web surf)...Modern convenience!

I say it's sad! Our time was spent (prior to these devices) doing more constructive things..like have a hobby, and spending more time with the family (now kids/teens are always on something).

Now you hear so much about parents not being able to relate to their children. What about the people being hit by cars (a few died) because they were listening to their IPODS and/or cell phones and not paying attention.

Gee, now in California it's illegal to be on your cell phone while driving as the inability to pay attention has caused so many issues.

Seems it's only made things more complicated..Suppose it's the high price of modern convenience.

  17. NO

  18. Arguably we are not.  Technology, for all of its benefits bringing people together, has at the same time distanced us by a filter where we do not get the interpersonal face to face conversation.  Ipods are a means for people to tune out the reality around them.  I believe that communication skills have been lost over the past 10 years because many are not used to actually talking with someone; it is easier for them to 'twitter' online and with a cell phone.

  19. NO people spend so much time tieds to their electronic devices and not getitng the social interaction that humans need.
