Those were the excuses big oil companies gave us when Hurricanes Rita and Katrina happened.

  2. they weren't excuses, the hurricanes damaged the oil refineries located in the Gulf of Mexico, so the price of gas went up (i hate it as much as the next person). but if the refineries are damaged like they were 3 years ago then gas will be more expensive. GO GREEN! its good for the environment and your wallet!

  5. Oh, yes, my local station has gone up by at least 5 cents in the last day.

    sigh

    there will always be an excuse as long as the government is run by oil executives.

  6. Yes,The sad thing is they didn't even wait for the storm to hit,up 10 cents my area and I am no where close to the hurricane.
