  1. apes and monkeys are primates, SOOO primate is the category

  2. Primates would be the word to use but I think were most related to Chimps!! =)

  3. First of all, we are all primates. The urang otang is the most closely related of them.

  4. Whichever suits you best! :-)

  5. Well.  The evolutionists have 'guessed' that the Chimp is their closest relative and that it shared an imaginary "common ancestor" with them.  But available evidence shows that normal human beings are really VERY different from all primates, including the Chimp, and the unequivocal 'lack' of evidence shows that there is no such thing as a "common ancestor".

  6. Humans are primates and therefore related to other primates, in particular the Chimpanzee.

Here is a chimp who can out perform us humans in a numbers memory test : -

...I can't even remember my car registratration number and go completely blank if a copper should ever ask the question, "is this your car sir",  worse, "what is the registration number of your vehicle".  How the h**l should I know, you think I'm a chimp?

  7. Apes are members of the Hominoidea superfamily of primates, which includes humans. This, therefore, places Apes as our closest relatives. Some say that of the Great Apes, Chimpanzees are the closest, whilst others claim it's the Gorilla, and for some, it's the Orangutan.  (Primate is simply a collective name for Apes, Monkeys and Lemurs, plus all species related to these).

  8. i read that although chimpanzees may be the closest relative to Homo Homo Sapien (modern humans) we may be more different than original thought; recent studies show that by studying one chromosome  (C22 in chimps, C21 in humans) there was only a 1.44% difference between the two bases the chromosomes have in common.  however,  each gene contains thousands of bases, so we may be father apart genetically then previous reports indicate.

  9. Do you honestly consider yourself qualified for such a comparison?

My guess is, if you had the necessary learnin to make the comparison, you'd not have to ask the question.

    Or?

  10. aliens

  11. As you obviously cannot make a calculated guess at the answer and need to ask, you, can only be in the monkey zone. It must be terribly lonely for you.

  12. We are essentially a bipedal ape.  We just prefer not to call ourselves that.  We are closer obviously to apes.  Apes, monkeys, and humans are all primates.  It is not correct to say we are more closely related to primates since all of them are primates.  We have common ancestors with monkeys and apes which are not the same as living monkeys and apes but were in fact monkeys and apes.  Apes evolved from monkeys and we evolved from the common ancestor with various apes, most recently with Chimps.  Those common ancestors with the apes were apes.

  13. monkeys and apes are both in the category of primates.

we are most closely related to chimpanzees, which are in the category of apes.

  14. Humans are primates, and mammals. However they are NOT monkeys or apes. Nor descended therefrom.

  15. There is no such thing as evolution. We are not related to anything, that's what God created.

  16. well not monkeys.......arent apes and humans both catagorized as primates???
