I am very much worried about day by day increase in the temperaure of earth which is very alarming. If increase in temerature contiues like this , the day will come when our next generation will be deep trouble.

I want each individaul to plant atleast five tress himself and grow it so that we could contribute little bit in saving earth from destruction.

Our little effort might bring great change in earth's atomsphere.

  1. So....What's your question again????

  2. Yes u r totally right

“Everyone around the world can make a difference….

because when it comes to protect our planet Earth,

                                 every ACTION counts.”

  3. Planting five trees is good. However, not burning as much fossil fuel is better. If the governments of the world would encourage renewable energy and solar energy usage by large companies, solar panels on hybrid buses, a realistic plug in car for daily use by comsumers, and Federal rebates on research and usage of energy savings would have much more impact on the earth's atmosphere than all the trees we could plant. Whether there is global warming or not, the air we breathe would be cleaner.

  4. I think we are failing in every respect to find or choose solutions for many probelms.

Why every one travel a lot and burn fuels ?

In many cases travel can be avoided or can be optimized.

Why one has to destroy a good house and construct a new one ?. Building a new one cause lots of materials and hence energy consumption ?.

Many projects are over weighted and simply waste .. and reason many states is the so called "economic" development.

Why do a credit card company sends so many letters to so many people.. plenty of energy needs to be spent on manufacturing paper, prepare letters, transport letters etc.. in most cases seldom its useful.

People must be encouraged to use materials and energy judicially.

A major cultural change is required (as stated by the Nobel Prize winner Rajendra Kumar Pachauri)

    Thanks,

  5. Yes, Humans are polluting the environment and putting the future in danger. Civilization would gradually deplete earth of it's resources and will ultimately result in the extinction of human race. Population control and preservation of the wild habitat are ways to control the situation.

  6. YES U R RIGHT. BUT V CAN NOT DO MUCH 2 SOLVE THIS PROBLEM, V CAN ONLY TALK.

  8. well did you know

Britain is one degree Celsius cooler now than it was at the time of the Domesday book.

    and

Carbon dioxide is a minor greenhouse gas. In the atmosphere there is over a hundred times the concentration of water vapour, which is the dominant greenhouse gas

    also

Temperature measurements by satellite, radio sonde balloons and well maintained rural surface stations in the West show no significant warming

  9. Well , Guys start it up right now as simple to make up a great change

  10. Yes, you are very correct. We must encourage people to plant more and more plants, check cutting and felling of trees and avoid increasing pollution level

  11. Dear Sharad!

I understand you are worried about environment conservation. It is good to be concerned...and act in the right direction to create a change.

    A few eye-openers:

    1. The studies reveal that earth is now cooling down...it is a major concern. Why? Becasue, earth is cooling from inside out...from center to the crust. This clearly means that the core of the earth is losing its heat gradually, and hence the magnetic influence as well.

    2. The earth is warming up. True...absolutely true. It is due to global warming, and deforestation is the biggest reason. What lead to deforestation? The most obvious reason is the greed of human beings. A quote goes: "Nature has everything for everyone's needs, but nothing for a single one's greeds." Greed may be in the form of population explosion and then to provide the additional population with food and shelter. Greed may be in terms of newspapers or electricity consumption, which all lead to degradation of environment.

Planting at least 1 tree is sufficient, if every capable person (student of II grade onwards, housewives, salaried persons) plant atleast one tree every year, and also take oath to protect it for the next three years (till the tree becomes self-sustainable). The business houses also work as per the government rules and create a green belt around their establishments. Also, a couple of creative resolutions (I took two resolutions myself for 2008, and have been able to keep them till now - 1. not to take printouts of any document until it is mission critical, 2. send greetings and mails through e-mails to avoid wastage of papers and inks) will accelerate these small deeds into a revolution.

Take care, and keep asking such nice questions which are a concern to the whole humanity.

  12. at an average of about 4 tonnes carbon per hectare per year sequestered by trees, you would have to plant a good deal more than just 5!
