  1. We dont pay taxes when were dead, so yeah.

  2. Only the dead truly know the end of war

    --Socrates I think.

  3. Being totally free is an illusion that intelligent people are aware of.  You are never totally free since you must always respect the customs and laws of the place where you live.

But you are right.  When you die, all consciousness ceases as we take our last breath and the veil of darkness descends upon us.  So, in that sense you are, after death, totally free.

  4. I believe death feels as free as sky diving.

  5. That is for Christians. The others will burn forever.

  6. Yes you are.  Free to choose to follow Jesus or not.  We could be taken at any moment in this life.  Be ready!  Repent of your sins and Trust in the Savior and you will have everlasting life.

    Just My Thoughts!

  7. We are totally dead, until we are free.

There are two things to consider, one is "Freedom from" or to rid ourselves of the conditionings and authority figures we carry around in our heads. But unless we discover "freedom for" - a creative way to express our individual uniqueness, freedom is of no benefit.

  8. when we are dead we are totally free.

  9. No, not totally, we have our obligations and sorrows as well as responsibilities to myself and others

  10. Don't listen to the nutcases who say you'll burn forever if you're not of their religion. I trust you to be that intelligent. Look around, no matter how bad you have it, you are free to change it. No matter how bad things might look, there is always a way to fix them. Time and effort are required usually, but there is always a way. I call that total freedom, don't you?

  11. Well....it's like this. Freedom is what you think inside your head. Liberty is the external component. I'd argue that both are possible at the same time before the death experience but for a lot of folks your right in the position you've suggested.
