  1. yes. in my area each town/city has a walmart even though some are only 6 miles apart. close one and the people will patronize the other. but as long as there is a buck to be made it will continue until the american people say enough.


  2. The question is really why are we over developing our land, and what can we do about it. Yes there is a lot of overdevelopment, and it occurs because there is not a lot of control from local governments planning commissions. There is not enough citizen involvement and a lot of money thrown at lobbying for development.

    The more appropriate lands to develop are brownfields - areas that have been already developed and fallen out of favor - old malls, old factories, old warehouses, etc.
