Are we possibly heading toward a civil war?

If Obama wins the election and really tries to take away everyone's guns - then YES.

Obama is trying to start that fight but  no it will not happen. By the way he's one of the haves.

The last time we had a "civil" war was over the question of whether, if disagreement was so deep, a state had the right to leave the union.  As for Obama, Jeez, this man is taking so many positions that are mainstream(like on expanding the war in the midEast to Afghanistan/Pakistan, curbing civil liberties, supporting Israel's "right" to a pre-emptive war with Iran, that I think he is changing colors ( no pun intended I mean  from blue to red) as we speak!!!  So relax...with the inflation eating away at people's pocketbooks, such  personal,cultural issues like abortion, g*y marriage etc.

will fade.   After all, the only civil war we had was really about economics i.e. which social system, free labor or slavery, was to develop the American breadbasket and the West.
