Prisoners is just a figure of speech, I only mean that we are eternally tied to the present and we can't escape it, since we are tied to time and space.

  1. No. You are the captain of your own created reality whether it is the past, present or the future. You choose what to perceive and what to bring into your life.

  2. No,we are prisoners of self delusion.

  3. No, we are not.  My basis for this thought is this...  We have our past, which we are tied to, we have our future which we may be prisoner of, and the present consists of both of those, as well as our hopes and dreams.  The present for me is nothing I can't escape, it goes so fast how do we measure it to be prisoner of it☆

*You are doing it again, :)  making my brain work!  Thank you!☆

  4. if you choose to have that outlook, yes. howver, the eternal present only mimics the past. *pauses for dramatic effect* are you alive? or did i just blow your mind?

  5. The oxymoron, eternal present, is like asking someone to solve a paradox. There is no such thing as an eternal present. All we have are fleeting moments that our mind stores like snapshots on a hard drive. There is no "Groundhog Day" portal for us, unless you know something the rest of us don't...

  6. Its negative thinking like that that keeps us destructive

  7. We are only tied to the illusion of time, because of the alarm clock tied to our machine-bodies.

It is when we know to transcend the mortal flesh that we find we have been living under a misconception of reality as time.

The Universe runs in cycles...not timelines.
