I've been a civilian for the past two years after my honorable discharge from a special operations unit. I am now called back up.
Most Americans want the war to end, however BOTH political parties want to stay for a long time until the "war is finished" or we are "situated for a withdrawal."
A person had responded to a previous question of mine that "people who matter" want the war to continue. Would it then be safe to say that 75% of Americans are not "the people who matter?"
And what does it mean to be "the people who matter?" Are they the people with money, the socio economic breeding circles that provide CEO's and politicians? Are the "runts" the economically disadvantaged who fight the wars, the ethnic grous who constitute the a disproportionate majority of military forces when compared to their dispersion in the population as a whole?
What do you think?
