  1. Your parents felt the exact same way about your generation, assuming you are a parent in your 30s-50s.

  2. No, I have great confidence in my kids. I'm proud of them for what they can do for themselves. They are all grown up now and good luck to them.

  3. I don't think it's fair to generalize an entire generation. It really depends on the parents and how children respond to parenting. My brother and I can't be more opposite. While I was "the good kid," my brother always got into trouble with the law and substance abuse, and to this day, he doesn't think he's accountable for the negative things in his life...

Overall, I do see far less accountability, and generally less  respect towards others. Schools and parents who try the "old school" methods of keeping their kids in line can be met with threats from their children that they'll be reported to the cops. Frivilous lawsuits also play a role. I've seen it happen, and it's disgusting. Some parents have even taught their kid (directly or indirectly) how to "work" the system to get additional aid, benefits, etc.

    Good parenting starts at home.

It's time for many people to turn off the TV and act like a parent, not a piggy bank.

Of course, as stated, not all parents and children are this way.

  4. hahahahah, have u LIVED through the 60s?
