  1. no!

  2. Yes and No

we could vote and do all that stuff

    But

there is stuff the government knows which the people dont and i guess we got the right to know what they know ..

  3. This is not a police state.

You can post all the left-wing scare tactics you want.

You can vote for anyone you want, or not at all.

You can start a business, knowing in advance how much the taxes are.

You can hold up a sign in front of The White House protesting whatever you want.

You can follow any religion you want, just as long as that religion doesn't preach "kill your neighbors"

  4. You bet. All western states are now police states. Demonstrations are banned and e mail and DNA records are kept on file for ever. The govt has access to all phone calls and texts. Even China does not go that far. And its not for our protection either.

  5. There has been a definite erosion of individual freedoms in the last 7 years.   Wiretaps without court oversight, internet spying, have you tried flying lately?

However, even all of this has not resulted in a police state... yet.

  6. I doubt we're living in a police state. Through my time of travelling through the World, I've seen much stricter and harsher governments compared to the West.
