  1. ...yes, well I think they should stick to salads.

Who's paying for this by the way?  ;-)

  2. Silly indeed.  Hope the donut eaters are also voting for the parties that will do more to help the socialized health care!

  3. Nice to see taxpayers money going to a good cause!

  4. Looks remarkably close to buying votes.

Some fools that fancy a change from pies, will vote Labour because of the free doughnuts. Indeed any incentive in the polling process is suspect.

Many that turn up will not be able to spell (x) anyway and spoil their vote.

Oops sorry!, that was not PC.

I think that this move is tantamount to illegal.

  5. I really don't believe they could be so utterly stupid.

People died for our right to vote - a woman walked in front of a race-horse and was killed for women's right to vote.

I know the turn-out for elections is falling but It really is quite shabby and shameful that there is an attempt to reduce the whole thing to a 'bag of buns' or a 'prize draw'.

I thought the day of pork-pie politics was over when John Prescott left the Cabinet -  sadly I was wrong.

I see as well that there is a suggestion that members of the council would be able to vote 'remotely'.

Well some would say that they're quite remote already!

  6. It's a waste of time i will vote when i see somebody i feel is trustworthy as a candidate not because they are giving me a free doughnut i can go to greggs and get 5 for a pound so basically my vote is worth 20p to them lol, new labour has killed all trust i had for the government.
