  1. 70% of the Earth's surface is Water! And the Oceans can be converted to Fresh consumable water. If you want to create rain reservoirs to water your garden with, go ahead. But don't worry about us running out of water.

Besides, Al said that ocean level have a potential to rise 20 feet so well be just fine.

Relax, the earth will provide, no reason for alarm.

  2. Collect and use rain water, you can even drink it if you filter it.

Use the water for as many jobs as possible - eg shower water i put the plug in and then wash my clothes in it, then use it to mop the floors, then water the plants with it.  I dont use any toxic chemicals only natural eco products so its not harming my plants.

You can get your grey water diverted to your toilet cistern.

Consciously think about what you are using water for and how much you need to use.

  3. Water conservation is hugely important, as we only the water we HAVE always had and WILL always have on the planet.

There are more people on the planet than before, so I would assume we are using more water for that reason, if not many others, like being wasteful.

In eco-friendly building today things like rain barrels for water for gardens is recommended (I've not heard that this is safe to drink, and even though one post says it can be done after "filtering," I would check further into that, as there are many methods of filtering, most of which will not remove industrial toxins and bacteria from bird droppings, etc., and better safe than sorry!)

I had a nightmare once that all the water in the world was in plastic bottles of soda and water and iced tea that people drank from, didn't finish, recapped, and put in the trash. Since those bottles don't degrade for thousands of years, how much water gets sealed up and put into our trash dumps each year? I'm glad to see bottled water discouraged or being phased out in many places!

Here is a web site with an audit and 100 tips on water saving. Hope that helps!

  4. yes we can save it by using the water more than once .. l mean , after drinking a glass of water , we can vomit and put it in fridge and then can drink another day too.. uhm.. also when we go to toilet , dont pull siphon after you ........  it  might stay there and we can use toilets water twice in a week.. or we shouldnt bath everyday but only once in a year..
