  1. it all depends on preference.  most of my iron are Wilson Deep Red II's and i've picked these over any other clubs so there are decent ones out there.

  2. If you are just going to try it out don't buy a new set.

Ask around and see if someone has an old set they would sell you or give you.

Check yardsales or classifieds in your area. Many times you can get a full set and a bag for under $100.00

Wilson and Macgregor are fine. Within in each product line they will have different levels of clubs from cheaper to expensive.

  3. I have Macgregor MacTec Nvg2's. http://www.globalgolf.com/gallery/golfcl...

Used they are VERY inexpensive and a great club.

  4. it dosent matter. im also a beginner on my hs golf team and my first set were wilsons off of craigslist and now iv moved up to ping g5 graphite irons. dont get em off of ebay, youll get cheated. try craigslist. if possible try and get graphite clubs because there gonna be a whole lot easier to hit

  5. Those are fine sets for beginners. When you start playing 600 dollar golf, then you can get the 600 dollar clubs.
