  1. If Gadgit was a feminist who responded in that way to an anti-feminist, she'd be getting thumbs up.  I guess it depends on who's answering here.  I did think that's what feminism was arguing myself.

I think it's both really, although women have become much more like men than vice versa.  There's still a heavy stigma against men acting like women.  There's sometimes a stigma against the reverse, but it's not often as pronounced.

  2. I notice that women have become more assertive, ambitious, confident etc...

Alot of us guys have become more reluctant to lead. It seems like guys are more mellow now and would rather take orders than stand up to women. Many guys have weaker ambitions these days.

I think most guys are trying to stay masculine but we are changing inside, becoming more sensitive and aware that women are now the powerful gender.

Why? Because I believe that men and women are opposites. As women collectively become stronger more assertive and ambtious, then men as a whole, naturally begin to take on the opposite qualities. There will always be a good percentage who don't conform to these changes and norms.

We have potentials stored in our collective unconscious. As women begin to manifest a certain set of potentials; strength, assertiveness, ambition then another set of potentials begins to awaken in men. Yin and yang is a revolving symbol with the power of one waxing as the other wanes.

  3. No...

Besides, if you say a woman is becoming more like a man and a man a woman...  isn't that just keeping the gender stereotypes alive!!??!

    Shame on you feminists!

  4. Yea I'm gonna answer like a feminist would too Rebel lol

SEXIST!!!! What is girly? Are you implying that there are gender roles or etiquette attached to a particular s*x? hmmm..

  5. I think this is what you wanted. Men become more like us; no more fear of "oppression"; now they're going to get their just desserts and all that.  What happens when we no longer like it? Something to think about.**Oh yes we must be joking.

  6. it's going both ways.  women are doing the traditional roles of men, and are more exposed to men, are less expected to carry out traditional female roles.  this also holds true for males, who have less expected of them as a "bread winner" .

traditional thoughts of what a man "should be" or what a woman "should be" have changed alot in the past 100 years.  not saying this is all right, or all wrong, but it's happening, men and women are meeting in the middle and the sexes are being blurred.  add the fairly recent acceptance of homosexuallity and things are really blurred.  i like the freedom the sexes have to do and be who they want to be, but we are paying a price that may be pretty destructive in the long run.

  7. I think women are starting to be more like men in the sense that before women weren't as independent and self assertive as we are today. Men are becoming more like women in respect to the fact that before they couldn't really express their more softer sides. a piercing was a homosexual sign, pink was voodoo to wear and God forbid they got a manicure. People are starting to be less judgmental. I say it's a good thing

  8. First women ask us to get more sensitive.  Then women say we are getting more feminine...?

I guess you don't think many women are looking and acting like men today?  Getting jobs men used to have?

    Cheers

  9. Probably because gender roles are being eroded. Come back in 20 years, and hairiness will be considered an attractive attribute in women.

  10. Men are getting more g*y now ( if you look around, there are more g*y men now than a few years ago ) and women are now showing up to the world who is in reality the "stronger" s*x ;)

  11. People evolved and change with their cultures.  At one time, it was the men who wore the prettiest clothes, the wigs, the high heels and the makeup.  Maybe we're just heading into a different era for men in our history....

  12. How sexist, What is a "man"? what is a "woman"? Girly does not exist, its only a social teaching that feeds lies to the masses.

    Did I get that right?

  13. When are we starting this from?  If you are talking about from the 40's the women are getting more masculine, if you are talking about since the mid 90's men are getting more feminine.

  14. I think that normal men are staying the same, and some women ae trying to become less feminine.

    Nothing in large scales |:

  15. In western society its a little of both, women are trying to "assert" themselves more and show men that they arent going to take any BS from them and men are becoming more feminine/g*y because of alot of things (I think some people are naturally born g*y but alot are influenced by seeing it on tv etc. and think about it more and more to where they actually become g*y). I dont think anything has changed in places such as asia though. The women still act feminine and there has always been ladyboys in Thailand and Philippines.

  16. I'd agree with you just from the whole metro thing.
