Are women offended by men oggling them?

Well, I can imagine the flames already. Anyways the full story is this. I've decided to stop oggling (for the lack of a better word...) attractive women if I have no intention of trying to pursue something with that person. At the very least its probably more respectful for the women involved.

My friends on the other hand say not to worry about it, and that even if they don't enjoy it they don't exactly care either.

To make this clear me and my friends are pretty big losers, not exactly the guy you'd be excited about in regards to people checking you out. So for all you people out there which is: should people as a whole stop getting an eyeful of women they have no intention of going after or should we just go ahead since the people involved don't care anyways. Thanks.

No I could personally care less if guys look at me. If fact, its flattering sometimes. When it comes to the point where they do something obscene or make disgusting remarks, thats when I have to give my, "Alright dude! You know what....." speech.

if you're staring for the purpose of staring and not because you want to talk to me, then it's creepy but if you really want to continue ogling women go ahead. its not something that would ruin my day.

if you're gonna look at women, try to be a little bit more discreet about it, instead of just staring at them. that creeps us out.

Well, for me it's more of the fact that I get sick of being whistled at, sweet-talked, and stared at like I'm a piece of meat.  If people would be more discreet about it, it wouldn't be so annoying.  That's my personal view.

it all depends on my confidence level that day

if i'm feeling ugly and fat then a guy staring is either thinking "ew look at the cow" or "look at this hot peice of ***"

depending on the way i take it i'll either get a boost of confidence or want to crawl in a hole and die

however if i'm feeling confident

then the guy that is checking me out gets a little wink and then i go on about my day

do what you want every girl has a different opinion

you might be boosting a girls confidence by oggling her

If you lack a better word, here's one, "ogling". And I do mind and care about being treated that way, How would you feel if some guy "oggled"  one of the women in your family ?

oh my gosh... you have no idea. I can;t stand it what so ever. I totally feel invaded and what's kinda weird is that over the years, sometimes I just don't want to go somewhere cause of it. Even if nothing is said, and just the looks, sometimes I just want to go somewhere and not have that kinda stuff all the time.
