Are woodpeckers becoming more common?

i saw one when i went to sutton london last week and then just now in bognor i have seen a green woodpecker. i have not seen one before and was quite amazed but the look and noise of it.

I dont know i havent seen one for ages though and they're really common around where I live.

We get loads of green woodpeckers where we live

I hope so check out rspb web site , I photograph birds and wildlife and i seem to see more green and , spotted woodpeckers now !
