Are yahoo! message boards really closing down?

Or are they just redoing them? I would like to know the specifics if you can help me out. I like debating on the boards. There are lots of idiots that act like they're 8 years old on them, but I've got into some great, productive debates on these boards. Thanks for any feedback!

No, it's not these boards, its the message boards assoicated with news articles on the main yahoo page. Those boards have been around for years. I refuse to believe there closing those down. If they do, all h ell might break loose here.

As of around 5:40 p.m. EST today (about 5 minutes ago), I believe they are (finally) offline.

(EDIT: Then again, maybe not. It can't happen soon enough, though.)

today is the last day to go there, they are gone for 6 months til they debut a new troll free format, i guess the trolls will come here and set up refuge camps until they can find a new home
