  1. Rice with Kimchee everyday with some meat ...tofu soups...eggs..and tea


  2. We are Filipino and Hawaiian.  Growing up in Hawaii we were served food from East and SE Asian cuisines as well as Hawaiian food.  So we got a lot of everything.  I live in San Francisco now but still make a lot of the things I grew up with at home.

  8. Well, I don't live with her anymore but when I did live with her she seemed to cook a lot of dishes with black bean sauce...spareribs, chicken, etc.  And of course, we had white rice everyday!  Mmmm..miss those days!  She never just made one dish either, it was a few!

  11. yes, she always make soups. It takes like the whole day to make them like winter melon and bitter melon soup. She cooks differently through out the year

  12. lol I'm half asian, but my dad is vietnamese, and he cooks all these yummy foods that I love every day.Lol  hooray for the asian people.

    My mom used to cook all kind of dishes.

    Of course rice is never forgotten.

    There are always at least a meat dish, a vegetable dish, and a protein dish.

    The meat is cooked with chili or coconut milk, or curried.

    The vegetables are usually stir fried or made into soup.

    And the protein is fried or whatever, it's alternately made of tofu, tempe, or fish.

    Chili is a must in our home.

    My favorite is balado daging kentang. It's fried sliced beef and potato with ground chili. I just love it.

    But my mom has passed away, and no one can make it as good as mom.

  15. as like many other Asians, my mom cooked rice every day. Twice a day, in the morning and in the afternoon.

    Then we would eat it with some dishes like soups, sauted vegie, fried meat etc.

  16. My wife of 26 years is Fillipinas. We eat alot of rice, seafood, plantain, eggs, and lumpia.
